Highlights
The mountain ranges of Piatra Craiului National Park bordering the eastern Făgăraș Mountains are amongst the most beautiful in the Romanian Carpathians. Here, you can enjoy great hiking trails and look for wildlife with a high chance of observing chamois. Just being surrounded by so many breathtaking landscapes is a memorable experience!
Itinerary
The guide will pick you up from the guesthouse and you will start with an off-road adventure, up the Dâmbovița Valley.
The hiking trails are not too difficult, but you do need professional mountain equipment and good physical fitness to walk at least 4+ hours a day.
Chamois in Piatra Craiului National Park are not camera shy and they are addicted to social media, so you have every chance to get four-legged/two horns material for your Instagram account.
We will take advantage of the rocky green landscape and relax while enjoying a tasty picnic.
If you have enjoyed our company and want to experience more of the most important conservation project in Europe, we suggest a combination of chamois observation with stays at our wildlife hides in Bunea or Comisu for a chance to see wild boar, red deer, foxes, and brown bears.
